During couples sessions, we provide a safe, empathic and confidential space to determine what's working and not working in your relationship. Often times, partners find themselves feeling angry, sad, jealous, or unfulfilled. This can lead to criticizing, defensiveness, avoidance, and dislike. Sessions often include improving communication, negotiation and emotional regulation. We may also explore relationship expectations and what each partner learned in their families' of origin. If necessary, we may meet individually with partners for some sessions, but the focus is always on improving the relationship and not taking sides or supporting one partner over the other. We are happy to assist you in this work.
